The World of Doggie Pillow!

We all know how much i love dogs, so i decided a while ago that since i couldnt have a dog in my apartment, that i would simply scrren print some dog pillows for my couch (so that i could feel like i had a dog laying on my couch!). The ones i made for myself turned out ok, good enough for my roomates to put their heads on. . . they were of boston terriers ofcourse. Then a friend decided that he would really love some boxer pillows for himself. These turned out great! I costom made them just for him, hence the camo...

and my favorite...

If anyone is interested in custom pillows, even with your own dog, let me know through email.I can give you details!

Whats New??

Hi everyone! These past couple of months have been quite busy. I was gone for almost a month on a well needed camping trip to Nova Scotia, Canada, started a new job, and I am now ready to get back into the swing of things (making some new artwork!). I am pretty excited about it. I have some ideas for some 5 layer screen prints that I will be creating pretty soon. I am also going to start making some "functional art" like pillows, blankets, and bags. I have already been creating bags, but I might experiment with printing my own fabric, much like I did for the dress I made for my senior show at MIAD. Here are a few pics of the bags I have made so far:

Black linen bag with purple cotton inside

grey linen bag with green cotton inside (first bag I made)

tan natural fabric with black and white cotton inside

My favorite! Yellow linen and tan natural fabric with black floral cotton inside!

Here are some screen printed cards that i have made:

LAST but not LEASE! I am currently showing at GLAAS cafe in Sturgeon Bay, WI. It is a small show featuring the work of students from Sturgeon Bay high school that have gone on to study art in college! Here is what my painting looks like:

Alright I think I covered everything! Enjoy!

MIAD Thesis Exhibition 09' COMPLETE!!

Hello one and all! I am very happy to say that all of the hard work has paid off and the thesis exhibition looks great! I am finally complete and opening night went fantastically. I know you have been waiting for pictures and now that everything is over, i will have plenty of time to update! SO needless to say here are pictures from "Color. Layer. Pattern. Light."

Can you find me? Here I am wearing the dress that I hand made for my exhibition. I screen printed the same patterns on my dress as in my installation.

Here is a still shot of the moving lights that were in the ceiling of the installation. I am in the process of creating a ten minute video walk through of "Color. Layer. Pattern. Light." so that everyone who did not get a chance to see it in person can experience it.
Remember!! MIAD 2009 Thesis Exhibition is up until MAY 9TH!
Gallery hours are Tuesday-Saturday 10am-5 pm
